I would have never guessed brunello for you, Stu. Favorite handful of producers? My fav is probably Il Poggione.
After red Bordeaux, what are your top three wine categories?

Last night a ‘10 Cerbaiona (Molinari) convinced me it might be near or at the top of the tree. I’ve also liked Cerbaiola (Salviona) in the past. Then of course there is Soldera . . .

My favorite Brunello is Il Poggione, recently picked up a couple bottles of the 2016 vintage. They’re not giving it away these days.

That Cambie wine some Prestige bottling too, which I don't like the whole concept/principle.
It's like seeing prime rib end caps sold separately in the grocery store.
If you want that, you need to eat the rest of the meat!

This poll seems to have it about right, a little surprised at all the hate for Chateuneuf du Pape.

Re: After red Bordeaux, what are your top three wine categories?
I have a problem with this poll
It make a distinction between red and white burgundy but no distinction between red and white wines from other regions like the Rhone or Loire.
It makes a distinction between Northern and Southern Rhone so why not a distinction between the Cotes de Nuits and the Cotes de Beaune? Or Chablis and the Côte d’Or?
Burgundy, Loire and Rhone are all pretty big regions.

New World is pretty big too. With only 6 votes it was probably wise not to split it out. OTOH, no way to know if those are folks who voted New Word because they like Napa. Or Oz. Or Chile.
BB software only allows 10 choices.
Wonder how many individuals picked both red and white Burgundy for 2 of their 3? Guessing most - that the 14 and 13 votes as of this post have a lot of overlap.
Anyway, nothing scientific about this, just a conversation promoter. It works for that. Patrick and I discovered a shared love of Riesling!

I voted New World with a large position in Oregon.

Flawed poll, split too many categories while leaving too many out.

I think this poll kind of spoke for itself in a few ways.
That both Burgundy categories showed in the top 3, even when split up. Also that ALL of the new world combined was still far down the list. Plus how poorly Southern Rhone Showed.
Clearly an imperfect poll, but still shows some interesting things to me.
