Parallel 2019s! Rauzan isn't quite opaque. Will post a photo over paper in the other thread.

I'm only a quarter of the way through the bottle but this 2019 Calon Segur second(?) label seems stunning. It is so complete on every level: color, nose, palate. It came across as rich and big at the get-go but has smoothed out to a smooth, light on its feet, but very substantive wine of first label quality. I'm getting absolutely no heat from the 15% alcohol, no sharp tannins whatsoever. Looking forward to how this wine evolves with cheese but initial impressions are very positive, my only regret is that I didn't buy more than four bottles at a very reasonable price in NH. I can only imagine what this foretells for the first label, which has been rated as high as 100 points by some. As I've said before. Calon Segur eclipsed Lynch Bages as my favor estate. Where do I get more of this, the second label, as well as the first label? 94+ points.

The Grand Vin clocks abv at 14.5, a tad less than that of its younger sibling...

Glad to hear that you are enjoying it, Jim - I've been a fan for a while now.

That said, I did have a 2010 a few weeks ago which I didn't enjoy as much. The 09's were all incredible, however.

I love this 2nd wine. I have 3 bottles of the 2019 in the cellar already. However, after reading this thread, I decided to buy 3 bottles of 2019 Calon-Segur...now I have 3 bottles of both!
