2 cristalline white wines

Post by Nicklasss »

Snow crab season here, and fresh it is delicious.

Last night, ate some with brother and parents, and pair it with 2 white wines:

2021 Patrick Piuze Terroirs de Chablis is like oyster shell mineral fresh water. Very pure, with also just a light touch of lemongrass, white flowers, mineral and acidity. A perfect delicate wine for the crab. Tn: 90-91.

Next was the 2021 François Crochet Sancerre. This too was soo pure, crisp, with nice blackcurrant bush aromas (very typical of Sancerre terroir), green lemon, and minerals. Again, drink so nicely with that perfect just ripe sauvignon style, fat but not fat, acid but not, aerial flavors of fruits, minerals. Great too. Tn: 90-91.

A sign the wines were good? The 2 bottles were finished well before all the crab...
