Opened two bottles.

2021 Johann Michel Cornas was an excellent to great Northern Rhône. Kinda start on the easy side with red berries, cherries, and some sweet syrah berries. But with time, blackberries, ink and coal rocky minerals. In mouth, convincing by it Cornas signature with a medium body, tannins, nice blackberries, smoke, blackcurrants, meat, rocks and light licorice. Long fruity graphite final. Tn: 93.

2013 Château Suduiraut. Just one word, WOW. This is tremendous and like the 2009, nearer to Yquem than ever. So complex and balanced. Mix of acacia flowers, peaches, apricots, with light vanilla, confit citrus, quince. A superb fruity nose. In mouth, well perfect balance, same flavors of fruit than on the nose, but had some roasted boteytis tones and a long honey apricot final, sweet but fresh, very very long. Tn : 96.

I bought zero 2013 Bdx reds but I did buy several Sauternes and they have been absolutely delightful much like your Suduiraut note below.

Unlike 2013 red Bordeaux, 2013 Sauternes are generally good.

Note to self: Buy more 2013 Sauternes.
