Snagged a couple of these 50% off $14.99...yessss
Figured what the hey.
Drank one the other night it was a real nice wine.
Popped the other tonight, and I am very pleased with this strong showing. Pop, pour and ready to show off.
Big on the nose, hints of funk, iron, sweet red fruits and meaty undertones.
Palate matched the nose, additional earthy notes present, great balance upfront transitioning to the midpalate. The firm tannins clamp down shortening the finish.
The tannins have sweetness, not Barde Haut-like per se, but nice hints of sweetness. This is solid stuff 91points
