soy, truffle, black and white truffle, truffle oil, squid ink, earth, coffee beans, decaying leaves, sous bois, rotting rose petals, roses, cherry, strawberry, crisp and refreshing with gritty, dusty tannins, this is drinking well, and has aged nicely. Clearly modern and with enough stuffing, sea salt and herbs. Wood, cedar and tobacco. Modern but nice. A touch drying on the finish. 58/100
2010 Les Amis Imaginaires; Domaine Petit Août, IGP Hautes-Alpes
50% Mollard; 50% Cabernet Sauvignon.
a serious version of the straight Mollard with structure, pure cherry, red plum, herbs and strawberry, hints of cassis and bubblegum, nice length and poise, elegant and well made, soft and round tannins. Really loveable and great value. 64+/100
2008 Feteascā Neagrā Special Reserve; Princiar, DOC-CMD Dealu Mare, Tohani; Romania
chocolate, plum, cherry, red fruited, lifted fresh nose, herbs, cherry, nutty, vanilla, cadbury's dairy milk nut chocolate bars, strong rich tannins, modern and with rich length, meaty, blood, restraint and minerality, nice balance and will age. Really nice poise, and surprisingly good considering one expects nothing. Really nice. 61+/100 €15 in Romanian duty free!
