Châteaux Jonqueyres and L'Enclos.
Hell, I don't even have *one*...
The Chinese strategy is to snap up estates in the more modest appellations, and a beautiful château can be a deciding factor since they are big on wine tourism.
So far, none of the great growths, with the exception of Bellefont-Belcier in St. Emilion, has been sold to the Chinese, which is why there are no racist comments about the "yellow peril"... for the moment.
Best regards,
Alex R.

Alex, I remember only one bottle of L'Enclos in recent times, the 1999 L'Enclos. One of worst Pomerol I have had in decades...

Funny, the 1989 l'Enclos (Pomerol) I drank a few years ago was one of the most enjoyable bottles I can recall.Rudi Finkler wrote:Alex, I remember only one bottle of L'Enclos in recent times, the 1999 L'Enclos. One of worst Pomerol I have had in decades...

The potential of the vineyard is very good, and it's probably in need of serious refurbishment. I recently bought a 1945 L'Encos as part of an interesting auction lot. I brought it to a Pomerol tasting (with a back-up) and it was the WOTN.
