San Francisco, Saturday Oct 24

Post by DavidG »

I will be in San Francisco for meetings over the weekend of October 21, and would very much like to get together with the local contingent Saturday night. Who's up for dinner and opening a few interesting bottles?

David, LInda and I are in. Werner and Chris are discussing it. I haven't heard from the others yet, but that's not unusual.

Excellent, Bill! There are a number of good restaurants in SF that have reasonable corkage policies. I can make some suggestions - Jardiniere has been fun in the past, and I've heard good things about Bacar (never been), but my information may be out of date compared to you locals, so I am wide open to suggestions.

I also have a doctor friend (Michael Belin) who is into wine. We try to do some sort of BYO dinner whenever we go to a medical meeting together, so he and his date will likely join us. Michael is a Champagne nut.

I have no problem, with guests, the more the merrier. We can go wherever you want. I rarely go to SF for dinner anymore so I'll do what the majority wants.

We don't have to do this in the city - realizing some may have to drive to get there. I do have to present at an 8AM meeting Sunday morning, however...

Let's keep it in SF. It has the best restaurants etc. I'll stay at a hotel overnight.

Well, looks like Linda is headed to Kansas over the 24th so you are stuck with me.

We are out for now, unless we could introduce a baby sitter to Tessa in the next few weeks. If it happens, I would check back with you guys. Please plan without us.

I'll handle restaurants for SF. Let's see how many people we will be. Very different choices if we are a small or larger group...
