As now mentioned in the opening post our cost per person goes from $150 to approximately $175 per person if we do not have 25 participants, so I will try to find another couple to invite.

In terms of payment, one can now deposit checks without ever leaving the comfort of one’s home. Would it be okay to bring the check to the dinner?

I do not want to float these funds from my account while I am waiting for payment. Please either:

1) make arrangements to transfer the funds to me by wire or Zelle before the dinner
2) bring cash to the dinner
[NOTE -- due to my having pre-paid a substantial deposit I would prefer people bring cash to the dinner to pay]

So sorry you can't make it Stu, was really looking forward to seeing you ( . I do understand the reluctance to travel.

We have also had another coronavirus cancellation as Jay's guest is not coming down from NYC. In addition Joel's guest had a death in the family. My partner Maura has invited a co-worker to bring us back up to 25 but we are at the borderline in terms of paying the room fee so I really hope everyone can make it, not to mention that it is more festive with a good crowd.

We are three days out so if there are any more cancellations please let us know RIGHT AWAY!

P.S. also, if anyone can pay in advance by Zelle then please PM me for my number, that is a very convenient way to handle payments. As I said we can also do it at the event. I realized that since I have have already put down a $500 deposit it may be necessary for me to get cash from some people to settle up the remaining refund to me as if everyone pays the restaurant by CC the check may become overpaid. So please bring cash or else Zelle me in advance, thanks.

So sorry to hear this Stuart. Hope Kathy feels better. We’ll miss you - makes me glad we had a chance to see you in Ft Lauderdale last month. We’re just past the deadline for cancellations for the Friday dinner, I’ll see if they can make an exception.

Sad to read that some, including Stu and Kathy, have to cancel. Wish Kathy to get well soon. MC is particularly sad because when we went to Florida in 2008 and had 2 dinners with K and Stu, she was pregnant and couldn't drink wine... so she was looking forward to finally cheers with you guys this weekend. It is just "partie remise".

Hope everybody else attending will make it. Meeting new people and seeing BWE oldtimers have always been a must at BWE convention.
