Since I enjoyed the '04 before it went into a somewhat muted stage, and now the '06, I thought I'd try a few older vintages.
The 1995 is medium ruby, with an vibrant nose of red cherry, plum, and spice. Not the deep intensity of the '04 and '06, but still explosive cherry and blackberry flavors, lively acidity, with rounded tannins. Quite enjoyable, and still a reasonable value ($35) for a pristine bottle.

Re: TN 1995 Felsina Chianti Rancia Reserva
Thanks for the notes, Jon. The '95 sounds like traditional italian food wine. Yum! Wine shouldn't need a lot of everything to be good. Enough is good enough (college engineering motto: How good is good? Good enough is good!).
I will make some effort and see if I could source a bottle to see for myself.
