Is 2017 considered a left bank vintage Nicola?

Nic,

From our UGC 2017 experience the tasting in Montreal showed very few wines that were anywhere close to being worthy of discussion and I agree that for the vintage the Talbot was my personal favourite of the night and not unreasonably priced. The Bartons both were good but the Langoa may get an upgrade from the influence of Melanie Barton pouring and discussing the wine. What influence does a beautiful young woman have on modifying the opinion of what's in the glass??!! The Pichons were both good but don't justify the cost.

For qpr and a Chateau on the rise proving their pudding for value since at least 2003 year in year out is Lilian Ladouys and in my mind rivalling for 5th growth status in the new BWE Bordeaux classification. They get my nod for Chateau of the year and to pick a more current vintage the 2016 has a way to prime time for my palate but is excellent value and a pretty damn solid wine.

Apologies for being late to the party.

2016 Sociando Mallet for WOTY and my QPR of the year is 2016 Potensac.

These two wines have been consistently good right out of the gate and will age very well. 2016 = Magical Vintage

I think we should have Champagne as honorary additional 2020 WOTY, for having a toast in getting rid of this fascist/racist president and saving the constitutional norms of this great democracy...

Tour Saint Christophe won last year, fear not, it will not be selected this year.
I have actually made the selection, although I must admit a champagne to celebrate the end of fascism is not a bad idea.

Like every year, looking forward the 2020 winner. I did my best to help, and hope the 2020 BWE WOTY will make that end of 2020 a little bit more interesting.

Hmmm.

Fascinated.

2020 was my year of Champagne.

The 2008 Dom is delish.
