2000 Château Yon-Figeac - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (12/5/2009)
easy enought o drink now, pencil lead, smoke, grilled meat, as it openned for a few hours decanted it took on chocolate notes (89 pts.)

decent finish , some tannins thou the tannins are pretty integrated

Thanks for sharing your notes.
Not one of St. Emilion's big movers and shakers, bu a dependabe wine in my experiencee.
I had a 2000 Bordeaux this weekend:
- 2000 Ch. Vernous
This was ready to drink.
It makes me think that many medium-range wines are OK to go.

I think someone gave me that wine becaus eI only had one btl
I was also thinking that some of the 2000s might be ready and this was the one i grabbed
I will try another during the holidays
