What a crazy week, I picked a jury on Tuesday for a drug trafficking case, the first jury trial in the county since February 2020, then I argued motions on Wednesday in the Alaska case, then I argued pretrial motions for the jury trial on Thursday, had a good day in trial on Friday, everyone wearing masks and the jury spread all over the courtroom, crazy, but it didn't seem as bad as I expected, although I'm going to have to pull a Phil Donahue for closing arguments I guess, with jurors spread out on either side. I celebrated with a 2012 Pavie Macquin last night, then got up early this morning to drive to Boston to fly here to Philadelphia, brunching at the Ritz Carlton, in town for a family wedding this evening, then flying back to Boston and Maine tomorrow, with closing arguments in the drug trial on Monday morning.
It occurred to me that I've never been to Philly before.
The 2012 Pavie Macquin was a disappointment, tannic, seemed almost a little unripe. It could be that it was just a little young still.

An uninspiring 2012 Pavie Macquin and on to Philadelphia.

Too bad it was a too short visit. Let us know if down this way again.

Yeah I’m just here for a less than 24 hour surgical strike, Harry, but hope to return. Logan Airport was packed today, travel really looks like it us picking up. The Ritz looked pretty active, hopefully travel and activity are starting to get back to normal.
