They usually have a few bottles with some age on them, and my past experiences with them have been good. Inspired by BD, I got couple of 16 pedesclaux from local costco for 49... Generally I don’t open a growth property for dozen or so years, especially in a decent vintage, but I feel tempted, as I don’t recall tasting it at UGC...

Picked up a few wines at an Auction last night:

2 x GPL 2015
3 x Saint Pierre 2016

They weren’t bargains but I was keen to backfill where I could. I was hoping the purchases were going to be cost neutral as I had listed a Coravin for sale but didn’t get any bites.

There were some nice wines for sale though as a private collector was selling up e.g. Lynch Bages 89, lots of GPL, Barton etc, etc…

Do you know what the '89 Lynch went for, Ian?
I paid a small fortune for three bottles recently out of California.

The one bottle went for $494 (NZ) Jim, so - $319 US if my currency conversion is correct. Beyond my budget I'm afraid...

I wish I had taken the plunge on some GPL 12 and 14s as I missed out on some other wines and would have got them with the bid I had in mind.

Yeah, '89 Lynch prices are crazy, I mean, I guess that's what I expect for the greatest wine ever produced.

Now that you put it like that, I wish I had taken the plunge.
