1 x 2018 Calon Segur
1 x 2018 Labegorce

Total of about $150 from WDC after coupon code, raise.com cards and 12 percent cashback on RMN.

From the previous post, I picked up 3x 2019 Rauzan and 3x 2019 Montrose early this year. I think the lack of ratings has prevented them from selling out online. Seem like a potential for even higher value than the rest of the already reduced 2019s.

The Calon and Labegorce 18's deliver this week. WDC has a bunch of 18's in and my futures (d'Issan, Leoville Poyferre, Malartic) delivered a few weeks ago.

The 2019's for Montrose and Rauzan are futures for delivery next fall.

Been on a bit of a buying spree lately. Can't wait to join 2022's buying freeze thread. It appears that basically everyone has forgotten about it by now. Except maybe DavidG? :)

1993 Haut Brion- Had one of these lately and it was beautiful. WOTN slight edge over 1989 La Conseillante and 1986 Rausan Segla
1998 VCC- Had to snag another bottle when it popped up
2x1995 Bel Air Marquis d'Aligre
2000 Bel Air Marquis d'Aligre
2001 Rauzan Segla
6x 2007 Vilmart Grand Cellier D'or

6x 2006 Trotanoy- Anyone had this lately? Will be tempting to crack one soon as I rarely buy more than 2-3 bottles of a wine at a time.

Saw you just miss out on that lot of the 90 Louviere, Joel. Bummer, that’s a really lovely wine (but not worth the final hammer price today, I don’t think).

I'll PM you the step by step this weekend. It's a bit of a runaround but I could do the button clicks in my sleep at this point.

Also I saw you'll be in Alaska. My work will be taking me there as well. Probably Fairbanks area in Jan/Feb/March.

Wow we’re scheduled to be in Fairbanks for 7 weeks starting on Jan 3rd, Mike, but that appears likely to be changing due to the Covid situation up there, with courts closed down. We have a conference with the judge this coming Tuesday to decide what we are going to do. I’ll know more by Tuesday evening eastern time. Otherwise it would be fun to get together up there near the Arctic Circle!

All good, who knows if I actually just missed out. The guy might have had a 500 auto bid for all we know. KL is tough to bid on since they all have different ending times. I prefer when everything ends at the same time, even if it extends. People are forced to pick their battles.

Luckily I was able to nab a bottle from benchmark today for 89. Which having this for the first time the other night (I think I paid 75 for that one a year or two ago), I do think it is worth it. Just barely. i'm partial to 1990 though in general. I think the 1990 Pibran is about in the same category. Both quite satisfying and yummy while having some nice complexity. I'm partial to the rusticity of the La Louviere, especially in a vintage like 1990.

I know, right? With apologies to the BD, it was this thread that got me curious:
https://www.wineberserkers.com/forum/vi ... 1&t=173690

There are a few Burgundy palates in that thread (and on CT: https://www.cellartracker.com/classic/l ... a+Cardeuse) I pay attention to that like this wine, and it was "cheap" and easy to pick up (when I am in NYC next month).

And Gilman seems quite favorable to Moreau's Chassagne Rouges in general:
-https://www.klwines.com/p/i?i=1498867&s ... hRank=3282
-https://winelibrary.com/wines/pinot-noi ... gnes-75246

I especially liked the sound of those CT notes...

For the life of me I can't see see Ian drinking Chassagne Rouge :D

I was very disappointed with Ramonet's 2008 and Niellon's (can't recall the vintage). I thought I would lose the enamel on my teeth.

Yesterday I bought more bottles than any other day of my life. I started with 3 Baron Fuentes from WTSO because we have no low end Champagne in Oregon and added 1 bottle of Denis Chaput Brut, a Champagne that I have never tasted, that a friend who works at a wine store in Texas offered me at a close out price. stefanJr drove Lucie & me and my sister and her husband to Salem, where we visited Cristom and St Innocent for members' tastings. The reason I bought so much wine at the wineries is that we have little Oregon Pinot in Oregon even though we have lots in Texas.

And congratulations on your single largest same day purchase in your life.
We’ll have to do a virtual tasting of the 2017 Montazi, I’m getting my mixed case delivery from St. Innocent this week.

Have had the 2008, 2000 and 1998 in the past year, all fantastic. Have not had the 2006, so cannot comment. With 6, I would likely crack one in the interest of science. It’s 15 years of Merlot, I bet it shows. That rhymes.

Couple of cases in both the 2020 Francois Cotat Sancerre Les Monts Damnes @ $52.99/per and 2020 Francois Cotat Sancerre Rose @ $38.99/per from Bassins and you really have to love the direct import states that have retail pricing that is less than the jacked up Skurnik wholesale pricing.
