As Jim is a big Lynch bages fan, I will bring one '88.
I have a few '85's all are up for grabs. Let me know which you would like me to bring.
Haut Marbuzet
La Gaffeliere
La Lagune
Lagrange
Lango Barton
Leoville Barton
Sociando Mallet
These are all listed in my cellar tracker inventory, but I may not be able to locate all of them as I have an off site location as well, but if I can find them I will bring.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Thank you OWN...do you have a real name?!
I would vote for la lagune or leoville barton of the 85s

We also need a few more right banks and even some white graves or sauternes wouldn't go amiss

Bacchus - you are welcome to join us - whether or not Jim, ODL, decides to commit....which he hasn't yet

Thank you Comte Flaneur. That's very cordial of you. But believe it or not, I am committed to another tasting event happening that very weekend. Just to let you know I won't be hard done by, we'll be tasting, amongst others, the '98 Montrose, the '98 Latour, the '85 and '02 Cos, the '07 Haut Brion, the '06 Mission HB, the '06 Pichon Baron, the '00 PLL, the '05 Palmer and some late 90s d'Yquem. Quite a mixed bag of vintages as you can see, but not a shabby selection of chateaux. Yum, yum, can't wait.

Ian,
OK, I'll bring one from the right bank: 1985 Ch. Canon; and
one from the wrong bank: 1983 Rauzan Segla.
I still have this potential travel on-or-about that date that remains complicatedly un-confimed.
In any case, do we have a venue yet?
real name: Ramon

Good choice Ramon. I really hope you don't drop out...
venue is the usual: Fabios, two blocks away...
Jon...welcome back...did you change your name because of that interloper Jono from across the pond...?

I have a friend that might like to join, he would be the 13th if that is possible. I am learning toward a 1985 Cos, if that suits everyone's palate.

We should be able to squeeze another in Mike, esp. as Jim seems to be wavering/has not commited yet.
May I congratulate you on your choice of Cos 1985, feel free to bring another bottle...most are bringing two. If I bring a guest will be bringing four.

Tom thanks...83s we are light on, likewise 81s and 85 would not go amiss. We are fully loaded with 88s
If you have any dry whites or stickies that would be most welcome.
If I bring a guest I will probably bring a 94 Pape Clement Blanc...bit off message I know

That would be good Tom
Most people bringing two wines/so two per person, so an 83 right bank or something like that would be good
We dont want to run dry, so better to err on he side of plenty

Seeing as we're short on 83s I'll also bring along a 1983 Brane Cantenac (that was drinking beautifully when I last opened a bottle a couple of years ago, hope that is still the case).

I really do not have anything else in the cellar from the 1980's. Let me know if I need to source or if one bottle of Cos will suffice.

Bringing 87 Mouton.
I want to hold back on the Climens. How about a ringer? A Ca. Cab from the 80's? I see your message above about being off message....goes for the Cab too, I would think?

Great job Tom, that is a great wine

CT states that I have a 1990 Sauternes, so I will check later today, otherwise they are all from the 2000's

I think we should make it a blind ringer Tom and match it against Chris's mystery 1980

I cannot locate the 1990 Sauternes, the others that I have are either 2005, 2006 or 2007. Zachys has a Coutet 2003 that might be good, thoughts?

Which 07s, out of curiosity? (Have enjoyed a few of those recently - they're young, but showing quite nicely. An 07 Myrat was outstanding not too long ago.)

My 1980 mystery wine is fine to pair with Tom's Cal Cab. I will also bring a 1988 Lafaurie-Peyraguey.
