Stefan...glad to see you still sporting a wine appetite the size of Texas. Will have to run the idea by my lovely bride, as she doesn't share my enthusiasm in wine these days, but would love to see some old and new faces.

Jacques...you and Jill really living it up these days. The theme song from the Jeffersons just comes to mind when i imagine you hanging out in your robe on the terrace with a tall glass of bubbly.

Good to see you back Broadway. Come on, just a small effort, and you can be in DC with all us, end of March...

See you soon.

Nic

Boy I agree, Nic, it would be a skip and a hop for the NY/NJ crowd to come down to DC for Saturday night, get on a train on Saturday morning, check into the Georgetown hotel for $99 for a night, get back on the train on Sunday morning, a nice little 24 hour adventure with the BWE crowd and some epic wines at minimal cost!

Nick and Jim...you guys are too convincing. I'm going to pitch my better half to see it your way, so you can me put down as a tentative. Going to post same to the appropriate thread.

That would be awesome Emil!
Would love to see you again.
Jacques and Jill are going to be there, as well as many old and new BWE friends.
No pressure, though, I understand it's tough with family pressures and all.
If we don't catch you in DC we'll definitely see you in NY/NJ soon.
Seriously, though, you should come down to DC for at least 24-48 hours.

Jill and I would love to see you and Julie, Emil. It has been way too long. If that doesn't work, we should make a date to have you guys and pappa over to "To the east side. To an apartment in the sky" (channeling Louise Jefferson)

Jacques, how is Pappa Doc these days? I wish we could get him to DC-a BWE legend, IMHO.

I saw him a couple of weeks ago Jay, he lost a lot of weight but was in great spirits. Pappa is one of my all-time favorite people. I'll try to see him soon and will tell him about BWE-DC

Say hi to Pappa Doc for me and send him my best wishes when you see him Jacques.

Emil, I look forward to seeing you in DC! Check out the hotel thread and the threads for the Friday and Saturday dinners.

Pappa Doc is a classic...They don't make them like Pappa Doc anymore. I'm still saving a bottle of 1995 Trotanoy to share with him as the last time we drank that wine i had accidentally mixed his pour with some other Bordeaux we were sharing. Jacques if you see him, send him my regards.

Even tho I live there no more I saw that. The 2006 is as good for $100 less @$799. Both stunning. But I think when I was shopping there 3-4 years ago said wine was selling for $399 a case. Like a moron I only picked up a few bottles.
