Speaking of which, I'm bringing a 2001 Suduiraut on Saturday -- anyone else have 2001 Sauternes to contribute? Legendary vintage!
I will bring a 750 ml 2001 sauternes, let me see what my options are.

Everything I read, says that if it is one of the reconditioned bottles from the winery then it will likely be great. However the originals have a high rate of contamination apparentlly

I am going to have the least original theme ever - just bringing 2001 and 2011 wines. I believe in our base 10 numbering system!

Thursday - 2001 and 2011 VCC
Friday 2001 Togni, 2011 Chave Hermitage (yes I know it’s too young but I’m curious)
Saturday - 2001 Pichon Lalande and Baron, 2001 Suduiraut, maybe 2011 Tertre Roteboeuf

Thinking about it, I may bring a 2015 VCC to the Thursday dinner as I think the 2015/2001 comparison could be quite interesting. It could definitely spur an interesting debate about alcohol and wine quality as I think the 2015 is 14.6% or maybe even higher.

I'm thinking of 95/96 Bordeauxs for Saturday. And considering a 1999 Burgundy (2) for Friday. If Burgs don't work for Friday, I can work on an alternative.
