I balked at 2019 futures across the board and am now just starting to feel the remorse but that is nicely done.

Why did you balk?

I'm still holding out hope that we'll eventually see some of that early pricing in NH. We shall see.

Sorry for the thread drift but I balked largely because I:

(1) was shifting gears and balancing out the collection buying wines from other regions (the Loire, Piedmont, Tuscany, Burgundy, Rhone, Champagne, Rioja, Germany)

(2) have more maturing Bdx in the cellar than I will likely be able to drink in my lifetime

(3) much prefer a mature Bdx where the magical complexities that come with age are on full display and

(4) am 43 years old and starting to question if I should really be buying anymore current vintage Bdx offerings knowing full well that they will need 15-25 years

Those are all perfectly logical reasons to hold off on buying Bordeaux futures, jckba. You are demonstrating Spock-ian restraint while most of the rest of us have thrown reason to the wind. Glad to see you're tempted. Let Jim hook you up with his NH deals when they come in.
