Post by PghMike »

At about 210 and 97 respectively? Thoughts? Need to strike tonight.

Figeac yes, fill your boots at that price (costs close to £200 pb in Blighty); not so sure about the other one

Only caveat is that the wine bull market is long in the tooth

And US real interest rates have turned positive in the last month or so

But at that price I would latch on to some 2016 Fige.

Can I give you a link to a useful resource on Bordeaux - www.bordoverview.com
I have no interest by the way, just use it for checking prices and ratings by the usual suspects.

It goes back to 2004 and covers all banks, and includes many non-classified wines.
The prices however are not always up to date but do give a useful starting place.
cheers

Both of those are very good prices.

Second Ian’s back up the truck advice for Figeac. If there’s any left over when you’ve had your fill let me know. Could the market bottom and the wine be available for less in a few years? Beyond my powers of divination. It’s a great price today.

Clos L’Eglise also appears to be an excellent bargain price-wise but style may be verging on cocktail wine for me. That said, I have a couple in the cellar. ITNOS, and because friends love that style.

Ended up buying 4x Figeac. The deal was 15 percent off stacked with 12 percent cashback, with free shipping. The price was already at the WS low for the US. Had to buy through Vivino but the supplier is Vinfolio.
