I’ve discovered a new way to avoid How’ing your newly arrived futures!

A local retailer called my house last week, one I haven’t purchased wine from in at least 5 years. Out of the blue he told me that he was sitting on some wine they were hoping I would pick up, it has been in their storage area. Never lost track of wine before but I was quite curious.

“Sure, I’d be happy to pick it up. What wine is it?” I had ordered mostly early drinkers from this shop previously but I was hopeful for some Calon or Barton.

“We’ve got 2 cases of 2010 Lanessan and a 6 pack of 2010 Clos de l’Oratoire.”

Hey, not bad for a weekend wine find, perfectly stored and ready to drink.

Thank god for cellar tracker, to prevent this these days.

Nice surprise if you well sort of got it for “free”.
