Anyone here on Facebook?

Post by Jay Winton »

I joined recently and have enjoyed conversing with some old friends with whom I had lost touch.

I'm on Facebook but haven't really used it in any of the ways that people usually do. I think it's generally a bit of a younger generation thing.

To quote the Monkees: We're the young generation and we got something to say

I'm on Facebook but don't use it that much. And of course, I don't give too much personnal info there. Most of them written right now, are lies...

Otto - the Monkees were bad, therefore they should be right up your alley. We'll just get ALKO to jack up the price on their CDs. (tongue firmly in cheek)

Oh - and I am on Facebook. It's been useful a few times.

The Monkees had one of the best of that generation (my generation also) write some lycrics. "Pleasant Valley Sunday" was penned by none other than The Great Carol King. She also wrote "Locomotion" for Little Eva who was her Baby Sitter at the time. Boy did that become a mega hit, then the remake by Grand Central Station also made shock waves at the cash registers.

I still love Carol King, classic stuff from a classy Lady. She was kind of like Janis Joplin without the booze,White Soul.

Well, I don't know about the Monkees, but I've used Facebook a fair amount, and like it a lot. I find it to be a great place to reconnect with old friends and stay up to date with what current friends are up to. I went ahead and created a BWE group - those of you who are on Facebook, feel free to go ahead and join:
