I’ll be staying at the Crowne Plaza King’s Cross, 5-7 min walk from Double Tree Hilton, 20-25 min from Ian’s place.

My wines have been bought on site, will get everything delivered to Ian. Found some nice classics, instead of trying to get homeruns. Anyhow, looking forward to just take some easy time in your company guys.

Can't wait to see you again, Mr. Maltais. I think Timmy and I are staying across the street from you.
Looking forward to bringing some nice stuff, with a little help from my friends.

And better to focus on people when we drink italian swill one night and non-Bordeaux wines another night! :o  :?

Yuck... who is bringing in this acidic Italian swill? All the way to London? I can get nice Chianti just over the border here in tax free New Hampshire. Let's sneak in some Bordeaux in these "off" nights of the cross-Atlantic gathering of... drum roll... BORDEAUX Wine Enthusiasts.

Yeah, only ONE night of bordeaux planned, what the fudge!?

I’d vote for at least 2 nights featuring Bordeaux, but I’ll not be there for the Wednesday festivities, which sounds like Bordeaux.

Ha I'm just giving you guys the business.
I really don't care what the theme is. I'm just happy to be there, it will be spectacular to be in London.
Like many other conventions, though, I will likely bring Bordeaux every night.
I mean, if the benevolent dictator of BORDEAUX Wine Enthusiasts doesn't bring BORDEAUX, who in the world will?
But everyone else, bring whatever the heck you want!
Celebrate good times, come on! It's a celebration....

I leave the forum for one evening of peking, burg and riesling and we're drinkiing Bordeaux every night in London. Love it. Hey I'm game.

I believe we're staying at the same hotel as Jim and Tim. Will confirm. It's one of the Hiltons near Ian. This should be very fun. Hope you can switch your flight to Wednesday, Patrick! When do you get in Nic?

I'll be in Thursday morning. I can get to the restaurant directly if you're still there.

After all, i can easily imagine a BWE dinner that start at 9pm Wednesday night, to still be on by 7am Thursday...

Just do a theme like : glorious vintages of Pomerol in double-magnums!

My problem is I idealize London, I spent one of the best years of my life studying there when I was 19 years old.
I hadn't been back until a few years ago when went to visit Ian, it's still a great old place.
Did you guys see the South Park episode?

I thought you were a runner, Nic. This has to be a Marathon, not a sprint. Lets work our way up to double magnums for the Saturday blowout haha.

Anyone planning to do anything interesting during the days? I'm not a huge tourist/sight seeing guy but I'm sure some things might interest me. I know Daniela may want to do more things like this.

Me too. We could start the day right with a Stefan-esque wine lunch and drink some proper claret before slumming it with all that acid-juice/Italian plonk Thursday night.

you can wineDine and get cultured at the Tate. The restaurant there is (or at least was; we have not been in some time) quite good and has a nice wine list as well.

Well it is all happening

Agent Comte Flaneur - aka ‘Wing Commander’ - embarked on a dangerous clandestine mission to meet Agent Palmieri - aka ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ - who had just flown in from San Francisco - at Paddington station at 1210 hours GMT - a meeting that didn’t happen - to hand over nine bottles - yes Irish voice ‘Nyene’ bottles - goods exchanged - no casualties despite The Eagle’s recent first hand travails with the Californian banking tech crisis. Having swooped in the Eagle then flew off en route to Rome.

Over and out.

Second secret mission down to wine storage retrieved this:

Are you:

2) Feeling your pulse starting to race?
3) Going weak at the knees?

What could it be? 1961 Latour? 1900 Margaux? 2016 Tour Saint Christophe? Or the fabled deserted island juice?

WTF?! 1961 Latour? 1900 Margaux? 2016 Tour Saint Christophe?
Agent Palmieri was transporting some very sensitive stash on behalf of his Benevelont Dictator.

Trust not to ask too many questions when we are discussing the greatest wine ever produced by mankind. This is very sensitive material.

The top secret nature of the delivery meant that even I, trusted Agent Palmieri, did not open the package to inspect the contents at any pojnt in the journey. The Apple tracking tag facilitated some degree of chain of custody and customs were unaware given the clandestine measures taken. Only The Wing Commander had such International Highest Security Clearance to open the package. He was able to report all the sensitive items, including one rare bottle of the greatest wine ever produced by human hands, had arrived intact. Less than a week away the London convention will be able to sample the contents and confirm their power.

I am just about to drop some wines at Noize for next Saturday including the greatest ever product of human viticulture - I will be taking a taxi - Nic I am bringing your 88 Lynch with me as well - so the restaurant can stand them up in a cool place - though I have a cool room at 60F where everything has been in the meantime.

Yes, please do so Ian.

Yum, the 85, 88 and 89 Lynche Bages. Probably 3 of my favorites Lynch!

I like the level on that 88, look like pristine!

For my second bottle of Bordeaux, i'll bring it, but don't know if we'll open it, as there will be so much wines already... but can i not open a bottle of my favorite Left Bank wine, from a vintage that it delivered an unexpected great performance?

Goods successfully transported to Noize.

I didn’t bring your LLC Nic in case you might want to use it for a lunch on one of the preceding days.
