Tonight a 2011 Château de Vaurenard Quintessence, a Beaujolais Supérieur, is clearly a very nice and excellent aged Gamay.

Still having a dark red color, with a nose of fruits and rocks stew! Great gamay berries, pomegranate, light orange skin, and minerals. Good power in that nose. Mouth is full of berries, sweet and acid, cherries, red berries and sweet dark berries. A clean orange oil and peaches flavors, light bitterness, long, rich fruit, light granite and fully integrated tannic structure. Flowers. What to not like? And even 5 more years would be ok. Tn : 90-91.
