Such a loss. There was a time in my vinyl days when I assembled what I thought were the best albums of each genre. Miles Davis Kind of Blue and Jeff Beck Blow by Blow etc. His guitar mastery was on full display on that album....no pick, just fingers.....and the sound quality was so cool. RIP

Agree with Jeff Beck - still have some old vinyl from his early days - just can’t cope with Rod Stewart’s voice. Maybe I need a few bottles of Calon Segur first.
Cheers

I saw Jeff last November in Reno. Great show and the end of the world tour. His last show. This hurts.

I need to spin my Japanese pressing of Blow By Blow soon.

This is quite fun when Jeff Beck appeared at the Obama WH with other luminaries including Buddy Guy

I'm more a fan of the Yardbirds. Watch this classic from Blow Up in 1966 for Jeff Beck doing his best Pete Townsend imitation and destroying his guitar - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSJGEn4FDys

One of the few truly unique voices on guitar. Heartbreaking loss.

Listened back to Beck's guitar solo on People Get Ready. Chillingly good. I'm crushed.

Indeed, Jon, listening to the Deja Vu album as a snowstorm subsides and another week comes to a close, sadly the music of our lives from that era coming to inevitable rest. Man, they didn't take a song off, they didn't take a verse or a line off, on that album.
