Simple meal tonight, alone with MC and the kids, open a light pinot as MC likes them.
This German wine, the 2020 Burg Ravensburg Pinot Noir is nice. Medium red color, not the greatest nose with light cherries and gummy candy rasberries, the mouth is more interesting with medium fruit, again red cherries, concentrated red berries, good body, good tannins, and a nice note of iron a bit like in Pomerol sometimes. Not the longest, but good fruits and flowers to the elegant finish. Fine. Tn: 88.

I had the 2016 some 18 mo ago; it was ok. German PN is a really niche category out here.Nicklasss wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 1:51 am Simple meal tonight, alone with MC and the kids, open a light pinot as MC likes them.
