2018 Jamet Côte Rôtie

Opened a bottle Friday night, and even if young, I guess this wine is showing how talentueux are Jean-Paul and Éloïc Jamet. This is one of the top young Côte Rôtie i had.
Medium red color, fine nose of minerals, rocks, smoke, rasberries and red berries. Superbly balanced mouth, very nice fruit of rasberries, ripe red cherries, bacon fat, lot of mineral. The wine is velvety, with ripe tannins, light wood, and an incredibly long finish on fruit, meat and minerality. Really the perfect definition of the Syrah in that terroir. Will be even better in 8-10 years, but chapeau! Just great. Tn: 95.
