37 Pichon Lalande

Post by Michael-P »

I brought a bottle to BWE London on Sat which folks seem to have really enjoyed. The somm poured the dregs for me, and apologized, so I only had one small sip and enjoyed it too.

I had one other bottle that I listed with K&L auctions, that has a much higher fill and less worn label than the one in London, here in case anyone is interested:

I had more than a small sip, Michael.
It was a great pleasure, a "wine of meditation" as the Italians say. Although clearly into another dimension, it was much more than a footnote to history. It was a joy. It was one of the top wines of the evening for me.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Why is it so difficult to post photos?

The 37 was my favorite old wine (ie pre-1970), by a wide margin. It was really good.

I saw that '37 on K&L. I was considering bidding on it. If you have anything more older bottles you want to offload, feel free to contact me directly, lol
