2014 Duhart Milon
This wine is so beautifully reserved. It is an elegant, understated Pauillac, drinking so smoothly right now. Classic lead pencil. Just another beautiful 2014. Classic Pauillac, but not big, more on the elegant side, a baby Lafite. Loved it, I've got another five in my cellar, I'm going to try to get ahold of another half dozen. I don't see why there is a need to age these beyond another five years, it is drinking beautifully now at the nine year mark. Rating: 95 points.

Nice, I hardly ever seem to encounter this.
Re: 2014 Duhart Milon
I wonder why Duhart Milon has such a low profile.
It's not a small estate by any means (76 hectares).
it's true, I've personally never had one that made me vibrate.
When you taste at Lafite, the put Duhart Milno *before* Les Carruades, therefore considering it either less good, or lighter, or all of the above.

Indeed, I don’t drink enough Duhart Milon. After drinking this 2014 I have 5 left in my cellar but just ordered 6 more.

I like the 2014s in general more every time I try one. Fortunately I grabbed some on release (but I need to backfill still) and that was pure BWE insider enablement, akin to Jim’s prescient championing of the 02 LBs. I think the 14s might be even better than the 02s and of course ‘14 was strong on both banks.

I'm happy I was able to score one bottle at less than $60 before they took off in price. Now I don't see it for less than $95. I'm more likely to buy another '14 Rauzan-Segla - available locally at just under $90. And I'm even more likely to buy a few more '19 Brane-Cantenac below $60 - locally.

Millesima has mags of 14 Rauzan Segla (pre-arrival) for $126. Seems a good deal if that’s a useful format.Racer Chris wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 4:51 pm I'm happy I was able to score one bottle at less than $60 before they took off in price. That does sound like a good price. However I can't say I'm shopping for additional magnums right now.
