Has Fevre put premox behind them or is it still an issue there? Used to be a fan but got burned in the ‘90s and haven’t gone back.

I don't think Ive had a premoxed Fevre since 2002 David.
I don't always drink them young, either. A 2013 Bougros a few months ago was delicious.
Fevre is excellent imo, not on the level of Dauvissat or Raveneau but still up there as a close second on par with Louis Michel, Billaud Simon and Lavantureux. I just hope the prices won't escalate now

I think they went over to DIAM in 2010. They never looked back. Problem solved. I too have been drinking some delicious 2013 Fevre GCs.

That's good news about Fevre. They had been my "affordable" go-to premium Chablis producer with Dauvissat and Raveneau simply too costly to justify. I'll put them back on my radar. Montee de Tonnerre and Bougros seemed to be the sweet spot for QPR back then, with Les Clos, Les Preuses, Valmur and Vaudesir as splurges.

I too hope the sale doesn't result in a price spike.

Fevre and Louis Michel make up most of the Chablis in our cellar, too!

Dauvissat and Raveneau could fit the same discussion as First Growth Bordeaux in another thread - they are clearly better but the difference in cost seems out of control.

No doubt in my mind the price will increase significantly with the new owners.

I just hope that Latour does not buy Louis Michel.
