2019 Calon Segur

Opened and left in bottle for about six hours. In decanter now for another hour or two. Will be pairing with grilled flank steak. Will report out later. First sip was quite encouraging.

Didnt disappoint. Went very well with the flank steak. Quite open for business.
Not as big as the 2018 at least as I recall - but nothing wrong with that. Woody, baking cherries and leathery on the nose. Almost full bodied palate is awash with blueberry. Some tar and cedar as well. Finish lingers for close to a minute.
Was surprised at the amount of sediment in the bottle.
