BWE 2023 DC Convention 12/1-12/2

Hi All,
After having such fun and success having BWE conventions the last 3 years running in DC (plus an awesome London one this past March) I thought it would be good to keep the streak going. After polling many people, I landed on the first weekend of December as good dates for a large majority. This should be a decent travel week and also gives us just enough time before all the Christmas parties start.
I've sent an email out to many of you about this as well. I know that we've had some issues on this board recently but I thought it would be good to move forward and enjoy getting together to share our common passion.
So I'm planning to keep the general idea the same. Two nights (or possibly a Thursday night as well, if there are any out of towners that express interest).
Sticking with the usual plan:
Thursday Night (TBD and if requested, would likely be a Bordeaux night with a specific sub theme such as Pomerol or a vintage horizontal)
Friday Night 12/1 (Anything but Bordeaux. Usually Champagne, white/red Burgundy, Rhone, older Napa, Loire, Italy, Germany are what shows up, sometimes sub themes develop)
Saturday Night 12/2 (Champagne +Bordeaux blowout+Sauternes) Possible sub theme this year of 1983 vs 1985 (If you have any wines left from these vintages) Plus any other great classic Bordeaux that you want to bring.
The restaurant choices are still TBD until I have firmer head counts. The costs last year were around $225-$250 per person/per night and should be in the same range this year (all inclusive of pre fixe dinner, corkage, glassware, private rooms, tax, tip.) There will be at least one French bistro, if not two.
Please let me know if you can make it, which nights and how many guests. It's definitely possible that I missed some people when compiling this first email. Some have already said they can't make it. I will invite some other DC folks that have not been before if we still have space.
If you have any follow up questions or want to include other guests. I'm also happy to help any out of towners with logistics or accommodations. Please feel free to pm, email or text me separately with any questions or concerns and keep this thread to being the RSVP list.
I hope that most of you can make it and we can end the year with a great event.
Cheers,
Joel
