2020 DDC

So far - very impressed.

Would add a picture of I could. Deeper in color than 19 at least as I recall.

Any thoughts on a 2019/20 comparison vintages in general yet, PM, or is it too early?

Dangerous going purely from memory - the 2019 I had wasn't properly documented (terribly shameful I know).

I think the 2020 is a bit juicier and fruit is more prominent. 2020 is not in any way overdone though.

14 percent abv. on the 20 vs 13.2 on the 2019.

Will detail a note later or tomorrow.

Really enjoyed this. Deep purple in color. Nose is very expressive. Dark fruits up front including blackberry and ripe plum. Back half turns more cherry and floral. To me just excellent balance to be found here even at this young age. Consistent flowing tannins throughout the palate.

Opening to 4 hours in was quite consistent. Will add notes for day 2.

Thinking 96 pts. Enjoyed as much as any of the 19s so far with perhaps the exceptions of Montrose and Figeac.

Nice note and to me DdC really represents a tremendous value play in the current market as it trades at a significant discount to its quality as well as the more illustrious Pessac properties (thinking SHL or Haut Bailly).

Day 2 yields no major changes. Tightened up just a bit.

Great stuff. Excited to try a few more 2020s soon and will report.
