2003 Clos des Lambrays : still dark red, intense spicy aromas (cinnamon, black pepper) in a dark cherries and blackberries mix, some bramble, mushrooms and concentrated plums. In mouth, ripe fruit attack, concentrayed pinot berries, serious integrated wood, some bbq spices, darkberries, long, tannic, light overipe style, but with freshness too. Maybe missing a bit of class, but excellent. Tn : 94.

2018 Michel Magnien Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru Climats d'Or : a mix of 1er Cru parcels. Produced under biodynamy rules. A dark red wine too. This has similarities with the Lambrays on the nose, less concentrated. Cherries in alcohol, dark berries, light spices, some minerals from the soil. Mouth is nice, thick, concentrated cherries and red berries, bay leave, red licorice, pomegranate. Some light soil tones. Decent length, robust on the final, but not very tannic. Tn : 91.
