Our thoughts with Joel....

Post by JimHow »

I had a long talk with Joel last night. He lost his younger brother Chad in a plane crash recently.

My deepest condolences, Joel, we will certainly keep you in our thoughts. Let us know if you need anything.

I texted Joel a week ago jokingly asking if he was doing a dry January and if he was still alive as he had been MIA and he mentioned that there was a close death in the family. I did not pry but reading the above, my heart goes out to him as this kind of loss cannot be easy.

So sorry, Joel. Both Lucie and I know how hard it is to lose a sibling.

I just read the article. What a tragedy. I feel sad for Joel, and i guess his brother was a bit like him, the World lost a great person. Life and death are so wrong sometimes...

My sympathies Joel, in those tough moments. May family and friends find courage and resilience in that very hard and sad time.

I’m so sorry Joel.
Wishing you comfort.
I lost a younger brother over a decade ago.
Such a difficult, painful time.
My thoughts are with you.

Oh my gosh, Joel. Losing a parent is very tough - I can hardly imagine losing a sibling.

Gail and I have you in our thoughts.

Thank you all for the kind words and empathy.

It's been quite difficult for my family and even though we (thankfully) have never had to go through anything like this before, I know that we are resilient and have faith that we'll get through it.

I find some solace in the fact that he passed doing what he loved. Chad was as passionate about flying as I am about wine. We were also able to see him a few extra times last year because he was flying again.

I look forward to seeing many of you in the near future to enjoy life, friendship and our shared passion.
