The last time I saw Joel he gave me this bottle as a parting gift, I think tonight is a good night to uncork it with a ribeye....

A nice attention from a nice BWEer. So Jim, still in love with the vintage?

I’m personally exhausted on that Friday night. We had sea scallop with a 2021 Fernand Engel Riesling Reserve, that is quite strict, medium body, surely mineral and lemony, not complex, but lightly leafy too. Good wine for a shaved man (no more long hairs and beard. I look 10-15 years younger than in Montréal).

Unfortunately I think the Lanessan was corked, I went with the ever reliable 2020 Felsina Chianti. I’m exhausted myself, time for another vacation.
