Just recently found your site. Have been lurking for over a week. My first bottle of Bordeaux was a '78 Prieure Lichine which I bought on my 18th birthday (the legal age in Arizona in those days in the early 1980s) My parents allowed me to have a 1/2 glass of wine starting when I was age 16 with Sunday's dinner (if they were having wine) and at holiday meals - wine was ALWAYS with a meal. Not sure why I choose that bottle of wine (maybe the label) as my parents usually drank jug wine - a special wine for them was Beringers Knights Valley or BV Rutherford.

Glad to have found this site.

Welcome aboard, esl. 1978 is one of my favorite vintages because of the wonderful aromatics that some wines have. I am particularly fond of Margauxberries.

Man, I was a third year college student in 1978, I always equate that year with Bucky Dent's playoff homer at Fenway against the Sox.

Welcome eel! Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Prieure Lichine 1983 was one of my first case purchases - my father and I took a drive to Scarsdale and we went in on 3 cases together.
