So I really loved the 2020, indeed, it was my WTSBN epiphany, I'm uncorking this lone bottle in my cellar from 2019, I've already decided I'm buying more 2020, let's see if I want to buy more 2019 as well....

Despite the 14.5% alcohol, this wine is beautifully balanced. It seems very true to its terroir, beautifully margauxberry perfumed, that distinct purple color from the region. This 2019 La Lagune is not as “big” as its 2020 counterpart, which last week I rated my favorite La La Lagune ever. But that’s a difference in style rather than quality. The 2019 and 2020 La Lagunes are stunning, compelling, complete wines. I rate this 2019 at 95 points, and the 2020 at 95+ points.

Double 95 point ratings and with a little work, both available for under $50/btl.

I hear the 2016 is good, a man from Quebec told me that once.
The 2020 La Lagune is going for $44 at Saratoga Wines, last I checked.

Another fan of the ‘16.
Recently enjoyed a ‘14, though not the equal of the ‘16.
Didn’t buy any ‘19. :(
