I know it's one of his faves. It seems like a perfect vintage for this style of wine.

The Man from Quebec wants to get down to Orlando this year....

I gotta get down to DC in March, I'm handing off three bottles 2016 Haut Brion to DavidG.
I should know my March trial schedule by the end of next week, David, I'll touch base with you then.

Speaking of FLA, I heard rumors that there was some Bordeaux consumed this past weekend in Ft. Lauderdale....

Wish it was me....I was actually going to take the Brightline down to Laudy for the '85/'86 Bordeaux tasting at Wine Watch this past weekend, but I ended up having the kids last minute....though this Thursday we r doing an all 2nd Growth tasting. I'm the only one with the R.Gassies, so I'm going to bring that and a surprise bottle to share.

This 2014 Sociando is just so consistent each time I have it. It is classic Bordeaux. It is still young but drinking beautifully now, very fresh and well defined. I don't believe these 2014s ever closed down. This wine does seem different than the 2016 and 2020 Sociandos, which I still love but seem more modern. This 2014 is old school. I may have gone a little overboard previously rating it 96 but it is easily 94+ points in my book. Love it, I'm glad to have 8 more, which I'll drink over the next ten years.

Nice! I've bought two cases of it.
It's gotten a little hard to find now though.
