Lol... Classic.
We had the "pleasure" of meeting Rudy in NYC 2003, we were already overbooked at 102 guests for an event limited to 100. I got a call that day and he begged me and was guest #103. Like an idiot I turned down the two London girls there to celebrate the birthday of one of them.
That night I had a '67 Petrus in my left hand that was handed to me by Musigny151, and a '97 Petrus in my right hand that was handed to me by Rudy, which he had sourced from John Kapon, who was guest #102.

I sat between Francois and Father Stefan. Most wine I've ever drunk at a BWE event. That was the night a "certain someone" donated a case of 82 1sts I believe-only an example of the generosity here!
