2021 Domaine les Garçons Brouilly

Wines of Beaujolais are better than ever since the last 10-15 years.

It is an area where there are still many vinegrowers and winemakers trying their chance, and results are sometimes excellent.

I read the two men that started Domaine les Garçons did their first vintage in 2019 or 2020. 2021 was a challenging vintage and normally, good producers make good wine even in harder conditions.

This wine is an impressive 2021 gamay. Dark color. A nice nose, very Brouilly but with oompf, nice red berries, light purple fruits, flowers, black pepper and meaty minerals! Mouth is fresh,on lot of red berries, cherries, mauve flowers and rock. Flavorful, with a nice tannic side, rately as present inBeaujolais,but here, perfectly completing the offer of the wine. All is there, an impressive Brouilly. Tn : 92-93.


Well, just drink Beaujolais!
