Tonight, with a simple steak grilled on the gas bbq, the 2022 Laurent Combier Croze-Hermitage.

Combier has a good reputation here, and it is deserved. Medium dark red color, the wine is you but with a fragrant nose of sweet dark red berries, violet flowers, meat, spices and black pepper. So typical of Northern Rhône syrah. A smoky character too. Mouth is energic, red berries, with a purple side, good acidity. Medium weight, mineral beef jerky smoke jam. Good tannins, ripe, structured. Some vine wood. A joy, luminous marked syrah character. Tn: 91.
