Color is beautiful and deep but not quite opaque. Pop and pour was redder fruited and nose was reticent. Took a sip then decided to decant for a few hours. Gained weight quickly and opened up. Violets and baking blackberry pie on the nose. Fresh blueberries everywhere on the palate with some clove. Finish is outstanding. Almost fullin body with a velvety feel. Very long life ahead as evidenced by the significant structure and tannins as well as acidity to match.
95 pts. Plenty of upside.
