Bottle Shock: The Movie

Post by JimHow »

It's pretty hokey but I watched it over the course of several days on Netflix on my computer at the office. It's pretty light entertainment but kind of fun anyway, I'll give it two thumbs up, what the heck.

Jim,
I saw this on a plane some time ago flying to Singapore or Thailand.
It was better than I expected if a little over-acted and hammed up.
Filled a few hours on a flight at least!
I'd give it 3 stars.

A fun couple of hours. Makes Bo Barrett (with whom we've tasted a couple of times) look like a maniac. We only met him after he had kids!

We saw it when it was first released.
It's a "little" movie, but an enjoyable one, especially to a wine enthusiast (and we happen to love Montelena to boot)!

I never knew the Montelana Chardonnay had changed color etc.
I thought that was very interesting.
I also like the way they portrayed the California pioneers as just wanting to make great wines and putting everything on the line.

I thought that was a very entertaining movie, Chris Pine is excellent in it (and he made a great captain Kirk in the Star Trek movie).
