Decanted around 6 hours. Beautiful deep purple color. Extremely tight and closed down. Hints of sweet cherries, blueberries, with a touch of leather on the nose. Concentrated and tannic, with more berries, tobacco and lavender, and a bit of smokiness. More concentrated on the top and sides of the tongue. 45 second length. Overall pleasureable but waaaaay too young to really judge. I wish I had saved some for the next few days to see how it continues to develop. This will be a beautiful wine in about 10-15 years. Glad to see this TN. I liked this wine a lot when I tasted it at the 2006 UGC event in NYC, and bought a 6-pk. But when I popped a bottle a year or two ago, it was locked down pretty tight. We'll have to remember not to crack another one for 5+ more years. Cheers, ricko.
