German and Bordeaux would be my preference. Of course we will need some Champagne and really good dessert wines. Then again we will probablly need a few ...... How about anything good?

I guess anything from France that is not on their list. Their wine menu is great but mostly young, so it should not be difficult to avoid bringing anything they have. Since this is BWE and Friday's dinners feature Burgundy and Rhone, I think we should lean toward Bordeaux.

Chris, at Les Nomades the German wines should come from Alsace. :)

We had Numanthia last year I forgot if I brought 04 or 05.....would anyone want to try again - with Jim not at this dinner we can just tell him about it
How about an 04 Numanthia and/or I could certainly bring Bordeaux

We need a Sauterne and a starter too......I can help fill in any gaps

Here are the wines I plan to bring for Thursday. Comments/suggestions appreciated (e.g., I can bring a Burg instead of a Bdx or go with a different Sauternes--but the '90 Creme de Tete is not to be missed if you have never had it).

88 Latour
82 La Lagune
90 Filhot Creme de Tete

What is the starting time: Shouldn't we get a wine list going?

I think Rick needs to bring that 2004 Numanthia and save a little bit for me back at the room....

Is there room for one more on Thursday night? I had to reschedule my flights, and it looks like I'm flying in Thursday afternoon.

Cheers,

Thanks Rick.

I'll be bringing a bottle of wine as well, although I would like to serve it blind (aka mystery wine :) )

I remember you said you could do not bring wine with you on the trip .....No need to go out and buy wine - we will have plenty and you have done so much in the past

I was a bit limited in what I could bring, but I lugged a couple bottles with me (they will be well traveled, having crossed three continents...)

One of those should fit nicely with the Thursday dinner, and I'm really curious about it, as I haven't tasted it yet myself.
