Have a great convention

Post by Nicklasss »

As you already guessed, I won't be able to attend the BWE 2010 convention. Many reasons to that but I need to do some repairs on the house and I'm not able to afford the trip, even if some BWEers made a great work to have terrific prices for dinner/hotel. This makes me sad.

At the same time, I'm even more sad because being realistic, with a second baby due in June, I think I will be off the convention for sometimes... I'll try to do some mini-offlines like last February in Seattle, but can't commit to anything. I will miss the group as the convention are always a great time.

So I wish you a superb 2010 convention, and will be waiting for the stories/memory/TN post here.

I know you have a lot going on Nic, sorry you can't join us, but I'm sure we will drink some northern Medocs and d'Yquem in the forseeable future. Give our best to Marie-Claude.
We'll remember you in Chicago... where it all began!

Indeed, enjoy the Winding City! I too am sorry to miss the Convention, especially given how much I enjoyed last year's. But as I am still in the Dominican Republic, wine and good fellowship will have to come later for me.

I look forward to reading the notes and hearing the tales!

All the best from the Caribbean,
Blanquito

P.S. We need to have a mini-BWE (at least) in Denver some time soon.

Wishing everyone a great time in Chicago!

Patrick - I second your idea for a mini BWE get together in Denver.
Tom is in Denver frequently and our son will be moving there at the end of May - so I'll be out there more often too.
We have too much wine in our cellar (well- at least I think we do) - Always nice to have opportunities to share wine with friends.

Nic, Jacques, Patrick, Gail, Jay, etc

Sorry you can't make it to Chicago - you will all be missed. But in your absence, the rest of us will do our best to uphold the BWE traditions.

I would love to participate in a BWE event in the Denver area - nice place to visit and our daughter just moved to Boulder last November.

Also up for a BWE event in the DC area sometime soon (May or June?)

Jay / Chris,
DC dinner sounds great. June would be better month for us- maybe a bring your own wine friendly restaurant near Metro.
Any ideas?

I think that given the number of Canadians we have in BWE, we should have a convention in Canada soon....

Lets talk about it in Chicago Tim. I'm certainly happy to plan something in Ottawa. Spring,Summer or Fall. Nobody really wants to be here in the winter.

As many notes as humanly possible, but more so as many pictures as possible of the bacchanalian revelry, compromising or not
