Bernard Dugat-Py GC Charmes Chambertin 2001

Post by dstgolf »

Sorry, another high expectation wine that didn't deliver. Great producer, expensive wine ($350),and maybe drank too young. Inky black which I thought unusual for a Burg. Oak and extraction with closed nose and not much depth makes me wonder is this wine too young and will it shine in 5-10 years or is it just a waste of money. Camre highly recommended but it disappointed big time. Maybe there is hope for the future but certainly not the near future!

Too bad, Danny. You make me glad that I past on this one (because it looked too expensive for what it was).

This wine is an infant at 15 years. I am not surprised by the results.
