The 2005 Grand Puy Ducasse has been uncorked....

Post by JimHow »

I was just checking back on cellartracker, I apparently drank this wine before.
Back then I said it was "true to Pauillac" but "not very exciting."
My initial tastes are that it is as "boring as a '93 Batailley."

Not much room left to mark it down further!

It was okay, just pretty boring.

I still can't figure out 2005. I still think it is somewhat overrated.

Was it very oaky, Jim?

I sound like a broken record, but I still think most '05s will turn out fine... in another 5, 10, 15 years.

I didn't think it was overly oaky, David.
