Chateau Mont-Redon 2008 Cotes du Rhone
Kirsh, cherry, spice nose. Same on the palate plus plenty acid and tannin and some provencal herbs. Decent finish, a bit young. Good flavors. Classic Cotes du Rhone in an unspoofilated, traditional style. Medium bodied and very fresh. Good purity. 13.5% alch. With air the tannins soften and the wine is very enjoyable. Good stuff. I will try to get more and also look for their other wines, which I had never tried before.

Thanks for the note. In general CdP winemakers produce also the best CdR wines. I think Mont-Redon since 2005 is making better wines. Maybe also influenced by the young generation. They are getting more and more involved and way more aware of the potential........
